Like a favorite cocktail dress worn too many times, my long, ombré locks had lately been feeling tired.
Time for a change.
Originally, I considered a drastic, Karlie-Kloss-style chop (the fact that she told Vogue it made her feel French made it even more enticing), but I was wary of going into short hair shock. But wait, I thought, why not turn to a woman who actually is French for some style inspo? A mere 30 seconds after typing “Emanuelle Alt Fashion Week 2012″ into Google’s image search, and I had my hair.
Lightly layered, medium in length and perfectly tousled, it’s Patti Smith en Francais. Better yet, it feels like me.
